TRANSCRIPT
Greetings. So here we are. This is the teaser for season three of hyphenated. The first episode will drop on Sunday, the first of February.
As I noted in the teaser, I've decided to abandon any kind of schedule other than I will release as many episodes as I can get done until the end of June.
Since this project is about artists and their music, I've pretty much stayed invisible. But I'll use this time to just say a couple of things. As the world seems to be getting more and more tumultuous every day, it commits me even more to bring these stories to light, the stories and the struggles and the lives of other people that we share this tiny planet with.
Recently, I was reading a collection of essays by the late, great writer Kurt Vonnegut, and if you were unfamiliar with his work, I would urge you to discover him in this one essay published in 2005, two years before his death, he wrote this:
"What made being alive most worthwhile for me. Besides music was all the saints I met who could be anywhere. And by saints I meant people who behave decently in a strikingly indecent society."
So be a saint. That's all.
And so let's get to it. I thank you for listening and hope you enjoy this season. And please tell a friend if you do.
