I hope you all had a nice summer. I was back in Montreal covering the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal for the folks at Afropop Worldwide. As we slide into Season 2 of Hyphenated, I thought I'd share a few of the interviews I did there that might be of interest to listeners of this series.
First up is my interview with internationally-acclaimed Angolan-Portuguese Fado singer Ana Moura, who has performed with both Prince and the Rolling Stones. We spoke about her Angolan roots and how that has influenced her latest release, Casa Guilhermina, which is named for her grandmother.
